You can see two flickers at the beginning, it does not always happen, it's mainly at startup and on the home screen, but sometimes also on the details or library screen.
It was stable before 2.3.0, and on macOS with 2.3.1 it seems to not have the issue. Maybe Linux only for this one.

I had to watch this 4 times to figure out what you were talking about since its so slight. is it really an issue?

It's at the bottom of the screen in the video.
Here it was a slight flicker so not really an issue, but sometimes it's quite drastic flickering the whole screen.

However, it doesn't seem to do it during a video playback.

I thought I should mention it if you knew a quick fix, but definitely not a priority.
