Build failing due to commit description

Hi, I have the same problem here. Many of our commits contain descriptions 😢

I would love to help on this issue by contributing but TS is not a langage I know well. Maybe if someone is willing to do some pairing on it ?

I've run into the same thing. The issue is, in my opinion, not quoting the commit message before using it as a part of the regular expression.

The script somehow looks for commits with the same message, but prefixed with squash! or fixup!, but concats the ^(fixup|squash)! (fixup! |squash! )* (which could be simplified to ^((fixup|squash)! )+ when we're at it) with the commit message. When it contains specific characters, it might fail.

For me it was the commit message [apple-business] services.neon: rename FormManagers section to Channel which contains invalid character range e-b in the brackets...

If it's custom logic, it might be replaced via the sadly underused --autosquash option when rebasing (see docs) Although I suspect it would have to be an interactive rebase in that case...

I would fix it but it seem that the project is no longer actively maintained - is that right, @nhaarman? Is there any chance to get a PR merged if I were to suggest it?
