Hi all,
I noticed this repository may now overlap with the newer general project template:
https://github.com/NLeSC/project-template
The new template is intended as a current, general-purpose starting point for NLeSC research software projects. It includes project scaffolding around:
- Apache 2.0 licensing
- CITATION.cff
- Zenodo metadata
- codemeta.json
- Research Software Directory preparation
- architecture documentation
- Architecture Decision Records
- governance, contribution, security, and release checklists
- project handover and sustainability guidance
This repository still has useful historical context, but it may create confusion for new projects looking for the recommended NLeSC starting point.
Would it make sense to either:
- archive this repository, or
- update the README to clearly point to
NLeSC/project-template as the current general project template?
This would keep the organization easier to navigate while preserving the older template history.
Thanks!
