Language consistency for contributors #246
-
|
Hi, As an external contributor, I noticed that there’s a mix of Korean and English being used across issues, pull requests, and discussions. For example, some PR comments, discussions, and labels are in Korean, while others (like the README and commit messages) are in English. Personally, even as a Korean speaker, I found this mix a little challenging at times when trying to fully follow the context or participate in conversations. I imagine it might be even harder for non-Korean-speaking contributors who’d like to get involved. Would it be possible for this repository to consider adopting English as the default language for public-facing communication (issues, PRs, discussions, labels, etc.)? I think this small change could make the project more accessible to the wider open-source community, while still being respectful of internal workflows. Of course, I completely understand if there are internal reasons for the current setup — I just wanted to offer this gently as a suggestion. Thanks again for all the great work! |

Hi, Thank you for raising this issue and for your thoughtful suggestion. We appreciate your feedback regarding the mix of Korean and English used across the repository. We agree that maintaining language consistency is important for accessibility and for encouraging broader community participation. As you suggested, we will work to align our public-facing communications (issues, PRs, discussions, labels, etc.) to use English as the default language going forward.
