Status, current goal

Fixing immediate issues with the bridge, preparing NEAR->ERC20 connector, working on ETH connector, preparing for the launch of Aurora (bridging NEP-141 to Aurora ERC20)

Weekly update

Alex Shevchenko

• Aurora release management
• Berlin hardfork bug fix with Marcelo

Marcelo Fornet

• Scripts to update client address on prover. Updated Ropsten prover address. (with Kirill)
• Fix bug in the prover contract that provoked several legit proofs to fail verification: Fix bug verifying merkle-patricia-tree proofs from ethereum #556 (Already merged and deployed)
  • TODO: implement fuzzy tests
  • TODO: some transactions (one tx in Ropsten) may not be proved (since we cannot build the proof)
• Discussion abot Bridging ERC-20 / NEP-141 into EVM.
• Bridge health monitoring. We had some downtime this week after Berlin-Hardfork
• Giving support about the bridge to user in Discord and Telegram channels.
• Reviewing PR (Various optimizations and fixes in Ethereum contracts #553) that improves performance of bridge contracts on Ethereum side.

Eugene Kapun

• Creating the improvement PRs for Ethereum side of the bridge, fixed the CI for it
• Reviewing the fix for MPT proofs
• Minor PR for fixes of Ed25519 tests

Kirill Abramov

• NearProver: add scripts, tests and guide for the bridge client upgradability (with Marcelo)
• Add scripts for testing no-std version; EIP-712 message generation for the withdraw and transfer
• Troubleshooting & fix of the EVM-connector EIP-712 message generation and verification
• Continuously syncing on EVM-connector w/Evgeny
• Redeploy & test ETH-connectors on testnet

Pierre-Alain Ouvrard

• Frontend/client fixes and releasing
  • Stable support for Firefox and Safari
  • Stable support for mobile WalletConnect
• eNear bridging (ongoing)
  • Blocked on the testnet deployment
  • AI: ask Vincent to deploy to Testnet
• Paras faucet integration (ongoing)
• Bunch of refactoring (ongoing):

Matt Henderson

• Round-trip testing of the Rainbow Bridge before production update
• Screencapture and commenting of round-trip Rainbow Bridge bridging, as input for Aurora bridge designer
• Development of the draft $AURORA token model
• Identification & planning of the activities leading to the Aurora launch
• Various meetings
