Hi Nielk, first of all thankyou for the work you have done on Dark Reign, and I hope you are doing well in the other parts of your life.
Any way, Im not using the new full game version of the Dark Reign community patch but I have tried to update DR1 with just the Dark Update 1.5.0 updater alone; And this is for my copy of The GOG version of DR1 1.4. And yes I have been told about all the "program Elephant grass" of issues you had to deal with and correct with the GOG version, and once again i applaud you and give you my thanks for your hard work. So I have run into the only problem so far i have had with Dark update 1.5.0. and that is that I cant acsess the multiplayer rooms after i start it up. i can see the 3 usual server rooms that are there, but DR1 hangs for a minute or two after i click the join button and then just comes back and notifies me that it cant enter any of the rooms. Everything else works with the launcher--i think.
Which brings me to ask if you can help me figure out whether i even installed 1.5.0 correctly or not. I tried to do exactly the instructions in the readme said to do, but honestly Nielk, i dont know if i did this right or not. If you have any step by step instructions on how to install Dark update to GOGs 1.4 v. I would greatly appreciate it. I probably should have said something sooner because i spent a late night or two struggling with this issue, but nothing to be done about it now. What ever help you can offer i thankyou.
