What other alternatives do we have other than CSS to incorporate in our "Starter" application? Feel free to discuss/argue about which would be better.

Styling can be applied without using an actual ".css" file.
In the "logged in" part of the Starter app, styling will probably be applied more directly based on data from API calls.

I'm still studying this - not recommending it yet, just providing a possible alternative.
But it looks like we can put the styling directly into the component file.
And we can set that styling server-side by using data from props (which can come from API calls).

So, do you prefer server-side rendering (SSR) over client-side rendering (CSR)?

First let's define "rendering". I'm old and I call rendering turning mathematical constructs into pixels on the screen.

I think styled components does the same exact thing css does.

You still have an external file. You still import the styles.

It’s just more code and confusion for new people trying to onboard onto the project.

I know 2 things:
We need some way of taking data from props and events and using that to alter styling of elements.
I'm not interested in writing a bunch of low-level event functions when there is something to make that easier.
