We need a place to check if all our devices are OK, maintainance issues etc. The issue is - is this a dashboard, or lives somewhere else.

Maybe consider this not be a dashboard but an extension or better use of supervisor? Currently, http://homeassistant.local:4357 shows minimal information, maybe use this to show what is wrong. (what works is fine, don't need to mention). It will help early adopters to have one place to find out what is wrong and it has a url already.

The battery dashboard is great. I had made my own battery dashboard but its nice to have a HA native one. The only thing that is missing from this dashboard that I had implemented on my system is that the battery type would show up when a battery gets low.

There are different ways of dealing with this. For example one could group batteries depending on what type of battery it is, or batteries can be organized by how low the are, closest need to replace.

Not all devices advertise a battery type, but there is a HACS has a integration where one is able to add them. So its possible to add that data if one wants.
