my own caches are shown in Yellow, which OS are you running OpenSAK in ? We are working on adding a settings interface, for file & database file location, view for each DB ect - so owe might add options to select colors at a later point. |

Your OWNED caches are yellow? The only caches in yellow I have ever seen in GSAK, or the website, or the app are my finds. My finds are shown in green in OpenSAK. My owned are not acknowledged as such at all in OpenSAK. No color. I am running it in Win 11. |

Just for reference here is a screen clip. The top cache is owned and placed by me but has no color associated with it. I would have expected it to be green but it looks just like all the unfound caches. The three below that are all found by me and are green. Those are the ones I would have expected to be yellow. This green for owned and yellow for found caches would then match what I am used to seeing in GSAK, on the geocaching.com website, and in the geocaching app.

I just tested on both my Linux & Windows version and it seems to work: Green -> my found , Yellow -> my owned & Red -> disabled caches (see pictures) So I dont know why it dont work on your setup.

Yes, that matches what I see in OpenSAK for my found. OpenSAK does not show my owned in any color though. However that is not what GSAK or geocaching.com or the app use. There Green-> My owned. Yellow -> My Found. So green and yellow are reversed in OpenSAK. What I am saying would be more consistent is if OpenSAK used the same color code as GSAK and geocahing.com. So I would eventually like found caches to be yellow like they are in GSAK and in geocaching.com. Either by default in OpenSAK or by way of a setting to set to make them yellow. It is just too weird after 20+ years of always seeing my finds in yellow and my owned in green to see them reversed in OpenSAK. I will post another reply about my database not showing my owned caches after I test a couple things. |

The color swap is a minor issue, but why you owned cached dont have a color is a potentiel bug , when is colored on both my setups. |

I agree. I just tested and it seems to be an imput from GSAK issue only. I ran a PQ of all my owned caches and then downloaded and imported that to a test db in OpenSAK. Those all have the yellow color. So for some reason when importing from GSAK those same caches don't get flagged as owned by me. So yes, it seems in the end all I am noting in this thread now is that it would be great to have the colors match GSAK, geocaching.com and the geocaching app. Yellow-> Found by me; Green-> Owned by me; Red-> Unavailable. I have setup openSAK in both Win11 and Linux Mint 22.3 to compare what we see in both and in GSAK. The screen images are below. It would be good to have the Found and Owned Cache column and totals in openSAK to match the colours of GSAK. A minor issue. When looking at this you may want to address the fact that the Row banding or striping for the Cache column should be forced to the system background colour or maybe White (Not Found) in the same way as the banding colour for Found/Owned/Archived is handled. Thanks for all that! And I agree especially with the color issues across the board, not just the found, owned, etc. caches. But for those, for example, I know immediately without a second thought looking at your screenshot of GSAK that cache 1221 is "Owned", cache Tree Blind Mice is "Found", and Tree Ahoy 1 is "Unavailable". When I look at your OpenSAK screenshots, I immediately believe that cache 1221 is "Found", and cache Tree Blind Mice is "Owned", in which case I would of course be wrong. |

One final thing in case it helps. On my main database that I imported from GSAK, if I filter for caches owned by me, they are found. So the db knows those caches are mine, it just does not highlight them with a color. As I pointed out, however, on the test db that I loaded directly from a PQ it does color my owned caches, albeit yellow rather than green. |

Yes my finds are now yellow. Still don't see any green in my database imported from GSAK but that is an issue with the import as I do see them in green in my test db which I loaded from a PQ. Thanks! |

Until we get funding, to get our code signed by Microsoft & Apple we wont have a real install/uninstall code. I will make sure our documentation are updated, with instructions to cover this issue. |

It works on my side, export GPX file from GSAK and import to OpenSAK, my GSAK settings are in the picture, do you have a different setting ? |

I just tried again, this time only exporting my owned caches. They export to a gpx file. That file then loads fine to OpenSAK, even showing in red my few owned caches that are archived. The green highlighting does not come over though. |

Here are my settings. I don't see what I use here might cause that. Especially since OpenSAK knows which caches I own, (it can filter for them) but it just does not color them green. Tomorrow I will try again using the default settings and see what happens.

Just a thought, is your username set correctly here in openSAK settings? That would give you the result that you are seeing.

@stoppie777 Yes it is set correctly. And as I pointed out previously, OpenSAK does know that I own those caches, it just does not color them green in the import from the GSAK exported file. It does color those same caches green if they are loaded directly from a PQ rather than a GSAK exported gpx file. I am now going to change my settings that I use for GSAK exporting to match Allen's default settings and see if that changes the behaviour. |

OK - So I cleared my test db. Then exported my owned caches from GSAK using the "Default" settings just like in Allan's screenshot above. Still the same result. They are not highlighted as green. So it is not my custom export settings that was causing this. For some very odd reason my GSAK setup produces a gpx export file where OpenSAK is not highlighting my owned in green even though it recognizes them as mine and I can filter for them as such. BUT does highlight them green when loaded from a PQ. Seems like this sort of thing could drive a person nuts trying to figure out!! Edit: Also tried deleting my test db entirely and creating a new one with a different name just in case something was saved in the old test db. Same result. |

can you upload a small GPX files which dont work for you, then I can test it on my setup so I might be able to find the issue you have with it ? |

Is it caches you have created/placed in your name or caches you have adapter? Just learned there can be different placed by and orner, which might be the issue we have. |

All created and placed by me. No adoptions. And remember that I can filter for these caches as owned by me and OpenSAK will return all my owned caches in the filter. So OpenSAK does certainly know internally that those caches are owned by me, just does not highlight them in green. |

Just FYI although I don't think this matters. I went through my owned caches and one of them was indeed adopted so not placed by me. That one is handled the same by OpenSAK though and is correctly in my test db. Also not green highlighted. Just for fun, I then exported from GSAK without that one adopted cache. Then imported that .gpx file into OpenSAK. Same result. No green highlighting on owned caches. |

we have located and fixed the issue, it was do GSAK macros adding info to owner name. |

Wow. Sometimes it is so interesting where things like this originate. I will get beta.7 later today and test out the few issues I have had. Thanks. GSAK macros are a huge part of what make GSAK so helpful., Hopefully eventually developers of those macros will update some of them to work with OpenSAK! |

Yes, fixed for me in this version. My owned caches are now green highlighted, even my one adopted cache. Finds are yellow. And unavailable are red. Thanks! |

Not that this really is a bug, more of a question. Why are my found caches shown in green rather than yellow? In my GSAK they are yellow. On the geocaching website and app they are a yellow smiley. Green is used for our owned caches. Seems like in OpenSAK they would be better yellow than green, reserving green for owned caches? Although I notice that OpenSAK does not yet pick up and note which caches are owned by me. Maybe there is a setting for the color? Just a suggestion. Prioritize it down the list as I am sure you are very busy with tweaking things right now with the new interest in OpenGSK.
