We currently use team API keys for contributors. This was a historical mistake, and one that we should rectify: doing so will allow us to have actual teams, which will help teams of contributors manage their contributions, and help us see how our contributors are actually organised.
This will require some backend changes, as well as ensuring that we clarify what team_id and user_id actually are on both ends. We've mixed them up, so this won't be the most graceful migration, but it is something that we'll have to do going forward.
