Roadmap — v1.2 and beyond #3

Description

@Phazertron

This issue tracks the planned development roadmap for ClipStudio after the initial v0.1.0 alpha release.

v1.1.1 — Multiplatform

  • macOS and Linux builds

v1.1.2 — Bug fixes & stability

Known issues carried over from alpha:

  • Broken/missing clips cannot be selected or removed from the library
  • Thumbnail scaling inconsistent in list view vs highlight view
  • Player icon not rounded in detail view
  • Favourite icon overlaps rating stars in detail view
  • Highlight triangles don't redraw correctly after editing a highlight
  • Editing highlight start/end doesn't reflect on the Highlights page until restart
  • Sound effects not playing despite the toggle being on
  • Transcription language picker shows raw codes instead of human-readable names
  • Transcription model uninstall not available from Settings

v1.1.3 — Polish & self-healing

  • Improved library sanitizer: detect and recover clips in Trash that were mishandled
  • Source folder watcher: notification badge when new clips arrive
  • Caption search toggle wired into the filter panel UI
  • Transcription: fix translation pass firing after recognition instead of as a separate opt-in

v1.3.0 — Duplicate detection

  • SHA-256 file hash computed on import
  • Import-time duplicate check with Skip / Import / Link dialog
  • Batch duplicate scan from Settings → Sanitize

v1.1.4 — In-app wiki

  • Searchable help panel accessible from any page
  • Coverage: keyboard shortcuts, workflow guides, OBS setup, export modes, transcription setup

TBD / Under consideration

  • A fancy app icon.
  • Clip linking (same moment / sequel / reaction / variant)
  • Tag and game metadata import/export (JSON)
  • Removable drive auto-archive
  • Game title import from local Steam/Epic/GOG libraries

This roadmap is indicative, not a commitment. Order and scope may shift based on feedback.
