Hey there! 👋
First off, thanks a ton for Eternal Jukebox - it’s one of the coolest and most creative apps I’ve come across for Spotify. I had an idea I wanted to share that’s kind of in the same spirit, and I think it could be a great addition to the Spicetify custom apps ecosystem.
Recently, Apple Music introduced a feature called AutoMix, which automatically blends songs together like a DJ. It doesn’t just crossfade - it actually analyzes things like tempo (BPM), key, and beat structure, then picks smart transition points and syncs the tracks so they flow naturally into each other.
The idea:
What if there was a new Spicetify app - maybe called “AutoMix” - that works similarly? It could let users queue up a few songs and then automatically mix them together using beat-matching and transition logic. Sort of like a simplified DJ mode built right into Spotify.
Why it could work:
Eternal Jukebox already does some impressive beat analysis and transitions within a song - so it feels like a natural evolution to apply that between songs too. The app could look at:
- BPM + key compatibility
- Where songs start/end cleanly
- Beat graphs or structures to align transitions
- Maybe even a little visual feedback on how the transition will happen
Totally understand this would be a big feature, but I think it could be an awesome project - especially with the groundwork you’ve already laid. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Thanks again for all your work - and for keeping Spicetify fun 🙌
Cheers!
