Accessibility Audit and Keyboard Navigation Strategy #763

@AerunDev

Description

@AerunDev

As an User
I want interfaces to be fully operable without requiring a mouse
so that I can interact with the application regardless of my accessibility needs or preferred input method

Several accessibility issues have been identified beyond the copy button itself. Rather than addressing them individually, Pokémon Studio needs a broader assessment to establish a consistent accessibility strategy.

Acceptance Criteria

  • An accessibility review is conducted on the main Pokémon Studio interfaces.
  • Existing accessibility issues are identified and documented, including:
    • Missing keyboard navigation paths.
    • Hover-only interactions.
    • Small click targets.
    • Missing focus indicators.
    • Other accessibility concerns discovered during the review.
  • Accessibility guidelines are defined for future UI development.
  • A prioritized backlog of accessibility improvements is produced.
  • The outcome clearly distinguishes:
    • Quick wins.
    • Medium-term improvements.
    • Structural changes requiring larger redesign efforts.

Identified and Relevant Use Cases

Relevant

  • Users unable or unwilling to rely on a mouse.
  • Users with motor impairments.
  • Users navigating through keyboard-only workflows.
  • Future compliance with accessibility best practices.

Not Prioritized / Out of Scope

  • Full accessibility compliance implementation.
  • User-configurable accessibility profiles.
  • Complete redesign of existing interfaces.
