Doesn't Work

I have the GOG version. The patcher says all worked fine, that it was installed successfully. When I run the game, I still get the "Too Many Missions 678 >= 500" message. So it didn't break anything, but it doesn't seem to have changed the memory limits either.

Ah that sounds like the 1.3 user patch's check. It's unsurprisingly unaware of the changes made by this. Go into addon/AAA-v1.3patch and rename addme.script to addme_ignore.script and see if it doesn't start working. (You can also just delete 1.3's addme.script but renaming will let you easily undo the change if needed.)

I should probably add a section to readme explaining that you may need to do this to use more than 500 missions.

When I removed the addme.script the maps appeared so yes it looks to be working as a solution. I did notice I had to actually delete the file. I renamed it but somehow a few instances later the file renamed itself back and the issue returned.
