My reading of a MVC universe:

• datamodel is database schema and associated CRUD methods (an M in MVC)
• views are queries at linked to an URL, they just represent existing data, without modifiing it (an R in CRUD and V in MVC)
• business logic implementation resides at some controller (MVC), reacting either to user input (eg form) or signal (eg. webhook invokation)
• business logic is a set of commands/actions, as described here
