Better Harness contributors, maintainers, and community participants commit to a welcoming, respectful, and technically honest environment. Participation should be safe regardless of background, identity, experience, employer, location, or ability.
- Treat people and their work with respect.
- Give specific, evidence-based feedback and separate technical disagreement from personal judgment.
- Welcome questions and explain project conventions without gatekeeping.
- Respect confidentiality, attribution, and license boundaries.
- Disclose conflicts of interest and correct mistakes promptly.
- Keep automated and AI-assisted contributions accountable to a human reviewer.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, sexualized attention, or sustained disruption.
- Personal attacks, insults, intimidation, or publishing another person's private information without permission.
- Knowingly submitting secrets, private transcripts, customer data, malicious code, falsified evidence, or plagiarized work.
- Retaliation against someone who raises a concern in good faith.
This policy applies in repository issues, pull requests, reviews, release and support channels, project events, and other public or private spaces where a person represents Better Harness.
Report concerns privately to dev@qoder.com with the subject
Better Harness conduct report. Include the relevant dates, locations, people,
and a concise description. Share only evidence you are authorized to provide.
Maintainers will limit report access to people needed to assess and resolve the matter. They may ask an uninvolved reviewer to handle a conflict of interest. Reporter identity and sensitive evidence will not be published without consent, except when required for safety or law.
Maintainers may use proportionate actions including clarification, a private warning, content removal, temporary participation limits, or a permanent ban. Serious safety threats or intentional disclosure of sensitive data may result in immediate restriction. Good-faith appeals may be sent to the same address and will be reviewed by someone not responsible for the original decision when practical.
