I am getting this error when I build for radxa-zero3 on ubuntu 24.04:

You can pass --no-cache option to rsdk-build. This is specific to our tool, that it will try to reuse previously generated rootfs. This behavior was inherited from our previous build tool rbuild.

ok...Seems like there indeed is some issue with my host machine. I was able to successfully build the image in a VM with Ubuntu 20.

@trinity I also experience with same issue. Was using ubuntu 24.04 with vscode and devcontainer. Switch my pc to ubuntu 22.04 with vscode and devcontainer and the build succeeded.

Seems Ubuntu 24.04 has issues with the shipped Docker package: https://www.reddit.com/r/docker/comments/1gm807f/ubuntu_2404_lts_will_corrupt_your_dockerized/

The GitHub runners are unaffected probably because they are using a newer version.

The build fails anytime I try and build inside the rsdk shell but if I do not enter the shell, the image builds fine.

Are you inside the devcontainer or just running on your native system? Latter is not tested since we use nix, and it will do some trickery on your runtime environment.

We have not completed the upgrade of CM3 IO system to Debian 12. It is currently unsupported.
