This instruction is unclear as even if one says that just using a 1 or 2 for ID_0001 or ID_0002 is enough, many users may want to still key in ID_0001 or ID_0002 in full format.

The ID inputs in revenue command of the products should correspond to the way they are registered and shown in the list.

Here when inputting the ID to sold command a certain product is put in 1 or 2 based on its IDs of ID_0001 or ID_0002. This seems to be a bit misleading and is confusing as one would think that the whole ID of a product is either 0001 or 0002 or in full ID_0001 or ID_0002 respectively.

This however tends to work for inputs of for example 0003 but not for ID_0003.

Their Response to the 'Original' Bug

For this product version, we concluded that it will be sufficient to just accept the non-zero part, so that the user does not need to type the more complicated ID format in its entirety. That is why we did not accept the ID format, but it can be implemented in later versions to increase the program's flexibility and user-friendliness.

In addition, it is more convenient for users to input the numerical part of the ID for efficiency sake.
The String suffix "ID_" is also a constant in all ID instances, meaning it is just to demarcate the value as an ID value, and is technically not necessary in terms of identifying the product itself.

UG also clearly states you only require the numerical portion of the ID, the help command also tells you to enter the not the entire ID String for a reason.
