[lidarr] endless loop #6

After first start with the 2 directories, Lidarr starts but the log shows installing of requirements starts over again in a loop.
I restarted the container at the point where the script seems finished and now Lidarr doesn't start any longer and the script waits endlessly for it.

You probably have to just wait longer. The scripts go into a waiting state until it receives a valid API response from the APP. So if you cannot access the web app, that is why the script is waiting...

Edit: Also since you mentioned that lidarr is not opening, that indicates that your having a problem with lidarr itself, so you'll need to figure out why that is not working.

First time with the scripts, Lidarr loads pretty fast and works normally but in the logs there is a constant loop of instlaling the same packages.

Stopping Lidarr and starting it again, goes into a loop of waiting for Lidarr to start but the process tree shows no Lidarr process, only the script. No WebUI - it was running half an hour like that.

You should force pull a new image, maybe something went wrong with a package installation. I honestly don't know... But force pulling a new image, and removing the old one, will mean a clean slate.

If using unraid, typically force update is all you need to do.

It sounds like you didn't correctly follow the installation/usage process.

You should review the process: https://github.com/RandomNinjaAtk/arr-scripts/tree/main/lidarr#readme

And double check everything... I think you put the init script in the wrong folder... But I'm just making an assumption without much data to go on.

Edit:

After further review, based on your logs, it seems you placed the init script into the wrong folder:

[custom-init] scripts_init.bash: copied

That script is not a service, and shouldn't be run that way... Which is why it's looping. Read the directions carefully and place the file in the correct location and it should work ;)

2nd Edit: I just updated the conf file with additional settings that are required. You'll need to manually update your config file. (https://github.com/RandomNinjaAtk/arr-scripts/blob/main/lidarr/extended.conf)

I did, but since it was the same directory on the host, it seems to have messed things up.
I assumed that your /path/to/preferred/local/directory meant to be the same one. I fixed that now. Sorry, my fault
