Since you all seem to be experienced Kotlin developers, I wanted to invite you to contribute to Dantotsu (Taken Down)— a similar project that recently faced a DMCA but is still going strong. The owner plans to self-host the repo soon and is committed to keeping the app alive. We'd love to have more active developers onboard.
