mpv starts but couldnt see window

With the latest update, mpv starts playing but i can see the video or the mpv window like its minimized. Is there a config that controls this

Latest update of what? mpv or ModernZ?

When you run mpv in terminal, does it show any error? Have you checked the log? Could you share the log?

Looks like it was not the issue of Modernz but something else. Following your advice and launching via terminal, I am getting

 vo/gpu: Failed initializing any suitable GPU context!
   cplayer: Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (--vo) device.

Try running with --no-config, if it works, then you just need to adjust your vo options.

For example, I'm on Windows with Nvidia GPU, so I use:

### Video
vo=gpu-next
gpu-api=d3d11
hwdec=d3d11va

Indeed, that would be best for your use case.

I'd instead use:

vo=gpu-next
hwdec=vulkan

and let mpv set the API and context, but honestly, you'd get much better advice for your specific use case on mpv discussions
