Summary

Let's use Day Night Timelapse example as the use case for this issue.

The project currently has many tracks for instance objects, each with its own color value, or tracks without color tracks.

Now, I want to replace all the values of the Color property track in 2.50s with other colors.

There are two challenges:

  1. I cannot select multiple tracks with existing color attributes at the same time and change their values in batches. included copying keyframes or tracks from track A and pasting them onto track B.

  2. When I select keyframes at the same time, on the same color attribute track, the 'Common property keyframe properties' does not have a field with a value.

Proposed solution

When I select a keyframe, I can copy it and paste it into another keyframe of the same type. After pasting, it will completely overwrite all values, property, Ease, time, etc.
(Of course, perhaps in the future, it will be possible to lock certain properties individually via the context menu in the properties panel to protect them from modification. This a other suggestion.)

Why is this idea important?

Significantly improves the user experience of the timeline, providing a WYSIWYG experience.
