Main Idea:
Let the current weather dynamically alter settings in the 117 HD plugin.
- Brightness of the sun
- Shadows
- Fog
- Skybox
Details:
Currently the lighting and dynamic shadows through 117 HD plugin do not change based on the current weather from this plugin. This makes things look off when raining/cloudy because the sun looks just as bright as well as the shadows look just as sharp. This feature would make the sunlight dim during clouds/rain/snow, while also making shadows fade simulating diffuse light through clouds. Fog would for example change the fog settings in 117 HD.
Examples:
- Clouds should reduce the brightness of the sun as well as reduce the harshness of the shadows (removed?)
- Grey skybox
- Rain should reduce brightness, create clouds, and remove shadows
- Grey skybox
- Fog should increase the fog in 117 HD making your view distance substantially less, no shadows, etc.
This may require support from the 117 HD plugin in order to change the lighting/skybox settings. I already dropped an issue request for 117 HD.
