Missing pipe input, output, please include in pendown tool

Thanks for great tool. How I see it is missing pipe input and output, it asks for file input and output, though it is common to have input from pipe.

What does not work is here below:

$ cat | pendown 

And I expect that it accepts at least - as input from pipe, or similar way to get input from pipe and give output without using files.
