No update on node-red for this board?

Hi, I notice the node-red section has been “coming soon” for a couple of years now, is there any chance this will be completed please? I only ask because I can’t use Python code on my OS as I don’t have command line access.

What is the minimum functionality you need from the NodeRed driver?
Is not the good time but never is.. but I can give it a try and little help on architecture is always welcomed.

Hi, Thanks for replying, the main functionality I need is unfortunately that which makes it a great UPS, so a way to:

set the initial watchdog timer timespan
reset the watchdog
read the current voltage

I think from that I can get everything to work perfectly :)

I did see that there is a node-red i2c component that works on RPi so I was going to have a go myself (first time) if nothing was available. I would be guessing a bit on the message format though.

Hi,
If you want to make the driver yourself you can find the parameters addresses in source code of the command or python library.
For the i2c access you can use as example any of our NodeRed driver, for example the 16-relays : https://github.com/SequentMicrosystems/16relind-rpi/tree/main/node-red-contrib-sm-16relind
I will keep you posted with the progress.

Not having a great deal of joy with this, I think I'm too much of a newb. I managed to get some replies from the wdt on the command line, but nothing I try in node-red gives me any output, I am probably not using the i2c node red bus scan properly.

Hi,

The only way to work with the watchdog under NodeRED is trough exec node running the wdt command.
First follow the instructions from the readme.md then once you test the wdt command in the terminal you can use it woth the exec node.

Thanks but I can’t use this method as I’m running HASSIO (Home Assistant Operating System) so can’t install the code needed to run the wdt command.

The only avenue I have is to use the i2c bus via node red somehow.
