Intel users performance??? core parking?

i7-12700k- 5070ti
I tested the last caretaker benchmark without framegneration 20 times

with game mode (did not crash while cpu set setter is active P cores but i only tried ingame benchmark)
without game mode
with cpu setter set to P cores

and so far i get the best performance with game mode on and NOT using cpu set setter

what i noticed tho when i set it to P-cores and game mode off

the cpu cores usage graph seems to park P cores and or P core threads randomly during benchmarking wich the game does not do when i dont set anything and just obsevere the graph from cpu setter.
(i assume this because they turn grey)

so now i wonder if any intel user has any game were cpu set setter actualy improved performance?

I've heard from people with Intel CPUs that they did see an FPS increase in some games, namely CS2.
It just hugely depends on the game, the resolution and game settings. Especially on Intel where there is no cross-CCD latency like on some AMD CPUs I would expect more games to not really benefit.

Yep, that's indeed what a grey bar means. Though it should be clear that it's not CPU Set Setter that is doing that. It only tells Windows which cores a program is/isn't supposed to use. So Windows chosing to park your P-cores is very unexpected to me.
Can you see if using the High Performance power plan makes a difference? That one usually doesn't do core parking.
Also did you do all of your tests with Game Mode, or some without too?

yeah still then whatever cpu set setter does seems to affect core parking tho since it only happens when i set it to p-cores
and without anything set even over multiple runs it does not happen a single time.

so by my limited testing here it seems even tho cpu set setter does not directly affect core parking the function that cpu set setter uses indeed seems to affect core parking for one reason or another, and in my test case it also happen 100% of the time when cpu setter is set to p-cores
if nothing is set it never happens

I have 12th gen and notice all kinds of problems, specifically the laptop i3-1215u which i test and compare with my i3-115g4. From my testing there is to much powersaving features on this cpu that are unoptimized & windows 11 doesnt respect any thing. Most of my problems stem from intel kernel dynamic tuning technology logging being left on which my nvme much slower then memory?, windows scheduler, and core parking. 12th gen is gen 1 of e-core so as expected its not going to be optimized compared to 11th gen that was P-core only. Additionally, i just tested this software and it works. However, i noticed that i experience huge amounts of dropped frames in Internet explorer if i set the p-core only value which shouldnt happen. This happens on balance/high performance from core parking and Intel DTT actually at 15w the high performance breaks the e-cores ability to clock up to 3ghz which hurts performance.

Right now it seems only useful on my i3-1215u to force things to E-core but they will take a performance hit overall. On my intel this seems to add additional latency for sure which my i3-1215u is already seeing 5ms latency spikes just from Intel DTT. So unset for me is also giving me the best performance overall.

I think this software would benifit from adding a core parking disable feature, and merging some of throttlestops technologies to test on intel & amd cpu. Thanks for the tool though very simple and easy to figure out.

Preventing core parking would be a near-impossible task for me. There's a lot of things that can cause it, like you said especially on laptops. It's not easy either, and because disabling core parking involves making lasting changes that persist through a reboot, I think the risk of doing it wrong and causing issues for some CPU types would be too big.
