Hi, Initially Snowbridge only support WETH and not native Ether. Native Ether that Hydration supports was only added a month ago. You can use the Snowbridge dapp to transfer the WETH back to Ethereum, however you will require a ~1.8 DOT bridging fee. Do you not have DOT to cover the fee? |

Hello Alistair,
I have since transferred in DOT for transactions and gotten my ETH back.
The issue according to hydration team is that snowbridge is minting a
version of WETH which is not supported by hydration. Add to that, Nova
wallets EVM wallet cannot sign transactions on hydration and I was stuck.
Luckily I could use metamask and then transfer my WETH back to a non-EVM
wallet. After that I decided to transfer my WETH back to ETH.
All is fixed now, you can clise the ticket. Thanks.
Regards,
Freddy

I am using Nova wallet and bridging ETH to Polkadot using https://app.snowbridge.network/
I used snowbridge to bridge my ETH to WETH, this was successful.
I then cannot find this WETH anywhere in my Nova Wallet "Assets" overview, but I do see it on the hydration parachain. However, it's not usable from here. I transferred it to an EVM wallet and back within the hydration dApp, but in both cases I cannot transfer it to DOT and use it. Hydration's support team says that version of wrapped ETH is not supported by them and so they question why snowbridge even offers this?
Any help to get my funds back or with next steps would be greatly appreciated!
