Tap to click on touchpad doesnt work after restart needs to be renabled

Describe your issue

I dont clearly know if this is a issue or not but whenever i restart the tap to click feature in touchpad settings stop working though the option is still enabled in settings , it needs to be renabled after every boot.

Steps to reproduce

1. MY SPECS
   2.LENOVO THINKPAD L480

What did you expect?

My Distro is artix gnu/linux , sonicde with xlibre.

I'm having a similar issue. In my case tap to lick is selected in settings but tap to click does not work, I have to disable, apply and re-enable it for it to work.

In my computer the touchpad is reported as:

"SYNA7DAB:00 06CB:CD40 Touchpad"

got the solution from internet and issue solved ,now I leave upto the devs to close this issue or not-

1. sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf

2. Add following lines, save and reboot:

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "libinput touchpad catchall"
MatchIsTouchpad "on"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "libinput"
Option "Tapping" "on"
Option "TappingDrag" "on"
Option "TappingButtonMap" "lrm"
