Does Uptime Kuma Push require a valid TLS?

As per title, do self signed certs not work? There's no option for ignoring ssl/tls errors as far as I can find. I would appreciate it if someone can direct me to the correct documentation if I missed it.

I get Test push failed. Check the push URL and try again. while trying it out. My push url is definitely valid since I could open it in a browser, just the usual error for self signed certs come out.
