Solved: Iverson - Launchpad Mini MK3 mappings wrong

The iverson sequencer looks great but the mapping of the pads on my Launchpad Mini MK3 is wrong:

The preset for the Launchpad Mini MK3 requires the Factory Custom mode 3 to be loaded. It would be good to add this information to the Readme.md as others might get confused as well.

I have just tested myself, by "custom mode 3", are you referring to pressing the "User" button on the top right of the launch pad?

I am just checking to ensure we are doing the same before I update the readme

With "custom mode 3" I am referring to the "Factory Custom Mode 3" (That's the name of the preset in Novation Components) that is assigned to the "User" button by default. The problem is that it is possible to load your own custom modes into the Launchpad (via Novation Components app/website). I had my own definitions loaded and these did not work of course. So for the docs I would recommend to say something like:
The mapping requires "Factory Custom Mode 3" to be active. By default it is loaded into slot 3 ("User" button) of the Launchpad.

If you wish to continue to use your custom mode mapping, it should be possible to use the MIDI learn function of Iverson, and then save your own custom preset.

Yes, I have done that already for the "Active" column. I do have one question / feature request:
My idea is to use Iverson as a melodic sequencer with the Launchpad - a kind of "Deluge light".
Would it be too complicated to add another output that delivers a 1 octave cv signal ? In the simplest way it would be just the CV of the highest or lowest selected note (monophonic). Best would be of course to use VCVs polyphonic feature. For the notes a simple A min / C maj "white key" scale would do as all transposition etc. can be done easily with other modules.

This is a nice idea; however, these modules are no longer under development.

I am wondering if this could be achieved with an attenuverter connected to each output to scale the CV, then summed with a mixer. The CV would only be at the correct value for the duration of the input clock gate, so a sample-and-hold module may be required.

While this simple patch would be monophonic and would not play the intended notes if two are selected if may be a good starting point.

If you have difficulties patching the above, please let me know, and I will try to make the patch myself.

I already did a patch to achieve this (see below). But I'm still thinking about creating an Iverson fork that has the melodic output built-in. It could even use 8 voice polyphony. This would definitely benefit smaller screens as it means less cable mess and less used up screen estate. Thanks for this project because as far as I can see this is the only working(!) sequencer that allows utilizing the Launchpad Mini MK3 on Linux.

A melodic Iverson fork sounds like a cool idea, 8x8 grid controllers are so common and cheap, it could be a real hit in the community.
