Bug: Mock FC crashes after about 15s

Description

Running the mock fc starts fine, but after about 15 seconds it freezes up and values only update intermittently instead of a fixed interval

For the record, I have also seen issues related to this with the full wireless stack. Consider investigating and resolving this while you're waiting on hardware availability.
