Ability to select non-adjacent rows or columns

I can select one row/column at a time, or I can use shift to multi-select rows/columns in an continuous way.
I think it should also be possible to hold a modifier (CMD on Mac for example) to click non-adjacent rows/columns (A+C+F) etc.

Can this be added?
