What we need

The bot scrapes automatically, but some major scholarships don't appear in Google News RSS because they don't get heavy news coverage. A human curator can add these manually.

We need someone to find 5 real, currently-open scholarships for Nigerian students and add them directly to the Google Sheet.

Why this matters

Major scholarships like MTN Foundation, NNPC, Chevron, and state government scholarships are often missed by automated scrapers. Manual curation ensures they reach subscribers.

Exactly what to do

  1. Find 5 scholarships that are:

    • Currently accepting applications (deadline not passed)
    • Open to Nigerian students
    • Have a direct application URL (not "contact us" or a news article)
  2. Good places to look:

  3. For each scholarship, collect:

    • Title
    • Direct application URL
    • Category (Scholarship)
    • Deadline (YYYY-MM-DD format)
    • 1–2 sentence description
  4. Comment below with the 5 entries in this format:

Title: [full name]
Link: [direct application URL]
Deadline: [YYYY-MM-DD or "Rolling"]
Description: [1–2 sentences]

Kamsi will add them to the sheet and credit you in CONTRIBUTORS.md.

Skills needed

Google searches, ability to verify that a link goes to an actual application page.
