volunteer: Issue Triager — keep GitHub issues organised weekly #60

Description

@kamsirichard

What we need

As ScoutBot grows, GitHub issues pile up. We need someone to spend 30 minutes every Monday doing basic triage: labelling issues, closing duplicates, asking for missing information on bug reports, and marking stale issues.

Why this matters

Without triage, good bug reports and feature ideas get buried. A triager ensures Kamsi only sees actionable, well-understood issues — saving hours each week.

Exactly what to do

Every Monday, open the Issues list and for each unlabelled issue:

Situation Action
Duplicate Add duplicate label → comment → close
Bug with enough info Add bug label
Bug missing info Ask for specifics → add needs-info
Feature request Add enhancement + help wanted
New source suggestion Add new-source
No activity 60+ days Add stale → comment → close after 7 days

Skills needed

Basic GitHub navigation. No coding required. Good written English.

Time commitment

30 minutes per Monday, flexible.

How to apply

Comment below with your name and when you're available. An intro issue is required before you get label-writing access.

See docs/VOLUNTEER_ROLES.md for the full Issue Triager guide.
