Summary
Add a Blender Sun render on the shared close-up path — bright photosphere, soft limb, optional simple corona/haze — for gallery GIFs and later near-Sun cinematic framing.
Depends on
Scope
- New body kind (e.g.
star / sun) in appearance registry; Sol is not in PlanetCatalog the same way — wire --body Sun explicitly
- Texture or procedural photosphere (granulation OK if we have a map; else emissive procedural)
- Lighting model: the Sun is the light source — close-up should be self-lit / emissive, not a matte ball under a distant lamp
- Optional soft corona / limb glow (EEVEE-friendly)
- Outputs:
output/animate/blender/stars/sun/sun_flyby_{light,dark}.gif and/or a gentle spin/pulse loop for cinematic reuse
- Document that this is Sol only for now (other stars later)
Acceptance
Out of scope
- Full MHD corona / prominence sim
- Texturing α Cen A/B/Proxima (follow-up)
