New sources for AliveGR video streams

I am going to consider adding additional sources on AliveGR for content.

• This involves direct access to Youtube search if necessary through scrapetube.
• Sites like https://greeksubsmovies.com and https://greekfun.net
• Even p2p sharing has passed through my mind. You just can't rely on centralised CDN!

Would the user need to signup for an account on either of the sites in your post?

I looked at IPTV Telegram Bot on github but I couldn't get it to work not sure if something like this could even be packaged into an addon. It does look like there are python telegram libraries to work with that probably could be used to search for content on Telegram. Also, there is usenet but I am not sure if there are any free servers anymore.

I am not aware of a telegram bot in regards to IPTV. Usually these m3u lists are made obselete the moment you try them on any software.

Referenced websites are about to implement mandatory user account registration. This is done for a few reasons:

1. Prevent abuse
2. Collecting statistics
3. Prevent bots and scraping

When working at my regular job I was thinking about ways to do this cleanly without requiring user registration. I am not saying its entirely preventable and registering is not actually a big deal, but adds an additional step for improving user experience.

I am a bit sceptical because they seem sketchy. Website like these have appeared a few times and disappeared for a few reasons. The greek-movies.com website however is the most mature and reliable, that's why me and lambda have been scraping it for years. Even user account registration is optional.

So far, without a VPN, testing the TV Series called Na M'agapas Episode 04, all it's doing is the blue circle is spinning for several mins and nothing is happening.

This interesting @Twilight0 , without a VPN connected to Greece (I've got a PIA subscription), it doesn't prompt me to select a host, it just displays the spinning blue circles, and then if I press back it then shows the error message and to review the logs. If I connect to VPN (Greece), and select an episode, it displays a popup window to select a host and it has two host options: Watch at Alpha, watch at Dailymotion. It doesn't matter which host I select it traverses through both and then nothing happens. This is the behaviour I'm experiencing. I'd be interested to know why and if there is a solution. Thanks

@Twilight0 On the other hand, if I pick a TV Show like Flat Hunters, without the VPN connected, it plays a 10sec video that this show cannot be played outside of Greece.

With a VPN connected to Greece, if I select a Flat Hunters episode, it displays "Playback failed - One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message". On an android tablet I don't even know how to access the log that it's referring to so I can share it with you. Which is very annoying. I wonder if the problem is PIA as a VPN. But I'm not sure as I'm no expert on VPNs. Or because I'm based in Aus, somehow the ISPs are blocking it even if you connect to a VPN. I'm at a loss as to why it's not working. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
