Template/summon-spawned pals trigger the client Boss First Kill toast on every kill (request: spawn-as-wild flag) #117

Description

@BBGNB

Summary

Pals spawned via the PalTemplate path (spawnpal_j, /summon PalSummon files) trigger the client's purple "Boss First Kill" toast (with 0 rewards) on every single kill — even for normal, non-BOSS PalIDs. Killing an event wave of 8 spawned pals fires the banner 8 times, which makes template spawns very noisy for wave/event use.

Environment

  • PalDefender v1.8.1 (also observed on v1.8.3 before downgrading due to [BUG] Coords when invoked with spawnpal / tp are out of map #109)
  • Palworld dedicated server v1.0.1.100619 (Windows, Steam/crossplay -publiclobby)
  • Spawns issued via RCON: spawnpal_j <Template> <x> <y> <z> with a minimal template ({"PalID": "Garm", "Level": 62})

Repro

  1. Create a minimal template for a normal (non-BOSS) pal, e.g. {"PalID": "Garm", "Level": 62}
  2. spawnpal_j it near a player (or /summon via a PalSummon file - same result)
  3. Player kills the pal
  4. Client shows the purple "Boss First Kill" banner with 0 rewards - and it repeats on every subsequent kill of every template-spawned pal

announceAdminSummonsKill is set to false; this is not the chat announcement - it appears to be the game's own boss-kill UI, presumably because template spawns are materialized through the raid/boss summon pathway.

Request

A way to have template/summon spawns register as regular wild pals client-side - e.g. a PalTemplate/PalSummon flag like "SpawnAsWild": true or "SuppressBossKillUI": true. This would make the (excellent) template spawn system usable for admin-run wave events without banner spam.

Thanks for PalDefender - the template + summon system is fantastic for running live server events.
