Improve tax and shipping accuracy in landed-cost comparisons #9

@bdtran2002

Description

@bdtran2002

Summary

Reduce reliance on coarse defaults when computing landed-cost comparisons.

Why

Tax handling is still mostly based on default rate and state text, and shipping interpretation can still be too approximate for close comparisons.

Scope

  • tighten tax estimation behavior with clearer fallbacks and uncertainty handling
  • improve shipping normalization for ranking and mismatch watchouts
  • distinguish estimated vs explicit costs in the comparison summary
  • review how landed-cost uncertainty should affect sorting and filtering

Acceptance criteria

  • landed-cost calculations better reflect available eBay data
  • estimated costs are clearer in the popup
  • ranking is less likely to overtrust weak tax/shipping assumptions
