Unable to update OpenStack service volume template

OpenUDS is connecting OpenStack service, Pool uses volume template and creates a snapshot to create VDIs, but when I update template and convert to Volume Template, Pool VDI cannot use this new Volume Template. Is there any way for me to update Template and use it for VDIs that will be newly created in Pool?

No sorry, the provider does not work that way. You can adapt it to your needs anyway :(.

You can always create a new volume, update the service and replublish. I don't remember how openstack works with instances, but UDS only knows about volumes, so you must work with volumes always...

Thanks for this information, however I have tested it on the system, when changing volume version and replublish, all OLD VDIs are deleted and recreated, this causes data loss of users using those OLD VDIs. Is there a way to replublish that only changes the newly created VDIs and still keeps the old VDIs active?

Yap, it's the normal functioning. As soon as you publish, you "consider" that the instances derived from current version are outdated, and will be removed as soon as it can. Can this be avoided?

Because it's a read only field that will be locked.

On the configuration tab. (Note that configuration values are only "used" on load. If you change any of them, you will need to restart UDS)

But eventually, the vms will be freed from the user unless "keep assigned even on new publication". In that case, unless UDS founds an error accesing de VM, will be assigned to the user.

yeah, I find solution for me, i set Logout Action is "Keep service assinged even on new publication" when create OS Manager and when I do republish for Pool, VDI did assinged to user will not recreate to up new template, it will recreate VDI not assinged any user. This is awesome.
