Attachments must be enabled to upload workspace icons

Hi,

On our instance of Windshift, I think i've enabled attachments, but on the Workspace 'Look and feel' page, there is a warning message displayed:
"Attachments must be enabled to upload workspace icons".

However if I go to Admin > Attachments, it says attachments enabled

Hey Connor, two possible causes:

• The UI is just stale and a Browser refresh will help here. We had the same problem just before where admin settings do not reload the ui correctly
• There is an actual problem writing this to this attachment path, could you try to upload a normal item attachment and see in Windshift logs if there is an error?

I've already ruled out a stale UI :-(

Where else should I be able to upload an attachment @stefan-ernst ? I can't see an option on the item's themself?

Will ship a better diagnostic for this in 0.8.4 - I believe the issue is that /data/attachments is read only. Are you running via Docker?

Yeah, we are running the docker version :-)

@cs-tsg can you restart the container with 0.8.4 and see if you can see any diagnostics for this issue?

Hi @stefan-ernst , Indeed the new Diagnostics helped a lot.

My /data path was unwritable.

Running the below commands resolved it

sudo chown -R 65534:65534 /opt/docker_data/windshift
sudo chmod -R u+rwX /opt/docker_data/windshift
docker compose up -d --force-recreate windshift
