Need ability to change chat URL

The chat URL has changed via this newspost: https://www.f-list.net/newspost/330/

Slimcat needs the ability to change/edit this URL when connecting to ensure accurate and predictable chat connection.
EDIT: It looks like there is a way, via this file: C:\Users(your username)\Appdata\Roaming\slimCat!preferences.xml

So change this suggestion to simply coding in the new server URL.

This feature has always existed. It's in the preferences file in your roaming/slimcat folder.

There doesn't appear to be any instance of this file on my Installation.
I would change the url in advanced settings but you can only reach advanced settings in the app when the client has connected...

EDIT: The Above user's post is incorrect. The proper file directory is going to be C:\Users(your username)\Appdata\Local\slimCat\slimCat.exe_Url_3p1m2clhaywjkhr1yyk1tpot5nz4a4pz(this might vary on your installation)\4.5.5574.38289\user.config

That wasn't the issue. I submitted a pull request to change the chat URL to the new URL in order to ensure smooth operation. #436

I don't currently have the time to fix this, but #436 should at least stop the bleeding for now

For the sake of posterity:

• There is a line of code in slimCat that points to where the server is
• There is a feature that allows you to override that line of code (in advanced mode)
• If there is an override, slimCat will use that
• If there is not one, slimCat will use whatever it has been hardcoded with

Updating !preferences.xml will fix the issue if that override exists in your settings file.

If that setting does not exist (something like <Host> ... </Host>), then simply updating to the new version will fix things.

If that line does exist, then you can simply update it and not need to download the new version (the new version won't have an impact on how your client will behave there).
