I have an ender 3 v2 with Klipper installed and was interested in trying the accelerometer approach to solve my ringing issues. I was following along with your very informative guide (https://www.youmaketech.com/klipper-on-ender-3/), but you really left me in the dust with the following comment:
We need to do some additional setup on the Pi first in order to perform these tests. Just follow the steps in the Klipper documentation… This completes the configuration. Let’s check if we can read some data from the accelerometer…
I had some questions:
- How do you attach the accelerometer to the PI?
- What documentation are you talking about? (i.e. What am I looking for? The entire Klipper doc is fairly large.)
- Is the PI software for the accelerometer described in the above documentation?
I found some good answers that should be incorporated into your article:
- The docs show how to connect the accelerometer to the Pi and I found a good video showing how to do it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BXm9TU3rGM
- The docs are located here: https://www.klipper3d.org/Measuring_Resonances.html
- The docs also include how to install the accelerometer software for the PI.
Note: There is also a how to good step-by-step how to video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BXm9TU3rGM
My suggested edit:
