Formatting standard

I would like to suggest using a .prettierrc to standardize code formatting.

Pull requests could be minimized through using prettier to prevent individual contributors from introducing large amounts of diffs unintentionally (whitespace changes, trailing whitespace deletions, formatting of math division slashes, etc.).

By using prettier, only the intended changes will need to be reviewed. It could be included as part of GitHub actions, or local development workflows.

It will introduce one large diff the first time that it is run, however.

I would suggest this set of rules.
