This is not clear. I don't think I see the behavior you reference in the current version - or, I'm not understanding the issue.
Here is what I see in v15.2.11: Settings:
With all of the same settings above - except DX Target LOCKED:
Both conditions and resultant behaviors are, to me, correct/expected.. I 'm also seeing that the Opacity setting for the VOACAP Heatmap must be set fairly high to see the effect - like 60% +. Below about 40% - very subtle, barely noticeable. Last, If I unlock the DX Target and click different positions - the map does not really change as i would expect - but if I change bands in the VOACAP Heatmap options panel - I see immediate changes on the map. So, I see what I expect to happen - but, I am not 100% convinced the displayed colors are accurate - trying to reconcile that against other VOACAP resources on the web. |

The original setting was that if you clicked anywhere when the VOACAP heat map layer was selected you would get a propagation pop-up
This was great, the only issue was that there was no option to set your DX other than going back into settings and turning off the VOACAP heat may layer.
The update turned the pop-up off and so now you could select the DX. I do understand that if you click anywhere on the map and your DX lock is off then the DX will move and the VOACAP panel (bottom left) will change. But now to have to move your DX back to where you had it before.
My suggestion is as follows:
Keep the original concept of the pop-up, but then add in the pop-up the option to set DX. This is intuitive because it gives you an option.

There are 3 settings locations that affect the map display:
VOACAP Propagation Map option with Opacity in Station Setting>Map Layers
The VOACAP Heatmap options panel that floats on the map (or wherever you CTL-Click and move it)
DX Target - Locked or Unlocked
Here is what I see in v15.2.11:
Settings:
DX Target is NOT locked
VOACAP Propagation Map Layer enabled
SAT Off
Propagation Panel displayed
With these settings I can point and click anywhere in the Map display and the Propagation VOACAP chart updates to reflect conditions between my QTH and the DX Target - I believe this is desired and expected. The VOACAP Heatmap also updates
With all of the same settings above - except DX Target LOCKED:
Then, clicking anywhere on the map does not:
change the DX Target location and
does not update the VOACAP prediction from the locked position
Both conditions and resultant behaviors are, to me, correct/expected.. I 'm also seeing that the Opacity setting for the VOACAP Heatmap must be set fairly high to see the effect - like 60% +. Below about 40% - very subtle, barely noticeable.

OK, I see. Well, I do have another Feature request I thought I requested but I can't find it as either Open or Closed:

When the first version of the VOACAP heat map layer came into effect it provided details on the propagation where you clicked on the map, however, this disabled the ability to set your DX, unless you went back into settings and disabled VOACAP Heat Map.
So it was requested that we create a poll to see what people think how it should work.
One idea that I came up with was to leave how the VOACAP originally worked but add an option once you click on the map to set your DX. This seems very intuitive and the concept could be ported over to other areas such as POTA.
So the poll begins
