[FEATURE] Rig Control via IP?

I've tried the rig control (via the web-based OHC) and it only seems to work with COM ports. Is it possible to allow for IP control? I did try editing the rig control json to show, e.g., "192.168.1.17:9204" but no luck.

Many rigs these days use IP for sharing control communications between multiple apps, so it seems this would be a useful enhancement. Or perhaps I'm just setting it up wrong?

@chandlerusm-cloud yes, currently we have a solution for directly connecting via USB or via a proxy service to flrig, which is somehow providing the possibility like you describe (concurrent use of same rig). But currently no direct connection to the rig via IP.

Currently we have a little API for communicating with the rig control helper apps. I fear a bit implementing different APIs for many rigs, or do all have the same API running?
