Thank you for the program. Is there possible to do it also for a nwk file format?

Hi @KristinaGagalova You mean for Newick, right? The Newick format doesn't have a fixed mechanism for letting you specify colour information. It can be added, but then you need a tool that can interpret the information and display it. I think I tried this with FigTree but it didn't work.

Actually, my code should work for you. You read the Newick file into FigTree, save it (as Nexus), then run my code.
