Problems running emane-model-lte two-node demo

[fltemplin]

I installed emane-1.5.3 from packages on a fresh Ubuntu 24.04 vm according to the instructions here:

I now want to run the demo found in:

/usr/share/emane-model/lte/demo/two_ues

But, the running model does not seem to bring up the emulated 5G network interfaces.

See below for a log of what I have tried and observed; I would be very grateful for any insights
on how to get the demo running properly.
