Issue
The current table view that the UIC Web App currently references (VW_WATER_SYSTEM_ADMIN_CONTACTS) will be going away within a year.
Background
Per Jeff Mabey, the database that the VW_WATER_SYSTEM_ADMIN_CONTACTS view is being referenced from is no longer being actively used. The replication is still in place and for now it is working fine; however, it is expected that SDWIS (the app provided by the EPA that DDW uses to manage public water systems) is expected to be replaced in May 2026. The replacement system (i.e., DWSFTIES) that the EPA is coding is a hosted solution. Because of this, the way that the UIC Web App gathers source water protection zone contact information needs to be updated to prevent interruptions. Jeff proposed exposing an API endpoint, allowing for the management of the source of the data regardless of the database (i.e., SDWIS or DWSFTIES). The Apigee Google Cloud Platform (GCP) service that provides a comprehensive API management platform was recommended as a possible path forward for this initiative.
Request
Update how the UIC Web App references the SWPZ contact information with the proposed API endpoint structure.
