What issue do you find in Pulsar docs?

The links under Pulsar C++ Client all point to directories, rather than individual files.

What is your suggestion?

The links should point to the files as per the asc and sha512 entries

Hi, I would like to work on this issue.

I will check the Pulsar C++ Client download links and update them so they point to the correct individual files instead of directories.

Please let me know if this approach sounds good.

Currently, the CPP download link show all SHA512 & ASC files for their respective distros Linux (deb, arm, rpm) Windows, MacOS, example Pulsar-CPP-4.1.0

Are we expecting this to be shown as seperate links for each distro, instead of the current bundled up format

Hi, I'd like to work on this issue. Here's my analysis:

▎ Root cause — In src/components/downloads.tsx, the CppReleasesDownloadTable function builds a url (directory path) and a tarPath (actual file), but
mistakenly uses url for the link field instead of tarPath:

▎ // Current (broken) — link points to directory
▎ link: url, // https://archive.apache.org/dist/pulsar/pulsar-client-cpp-4.1.0/
▎ linkText: apache-pulsar-cpp-${version}, // also incorrect filename

▎ // Fix — link points to the actual source tarball
▎ link: tarPath, // https://archive.apache.org/dist/pulsar/pulsar-client-cpp-4.1.0/apache-pulsar-client-cpp-4.1.0.tar.gz
▎ linkText: apache-pulsar-client-cpp-${version}.tar.gz,

▎ The asc and sha512 fields already correctly use tarPath — only link and linkText need fixing. I verified the source tarball exists in the archive for
both 3.x and 4.x versions.

▎ I also noticed GoReleasesDownloadTable has the identical bug (same pattern, verified tarball exists in archive). I plan to fix both in the same PR.

@Annaxs There's already a contribution in apache/pulsar-site#1123 by @singhvishalkr to improve the download page for Pulsar C++ clients. Please sync with @singhvishalkr about addressing this. One way to start is to review the PR, test it and suggest improvements. I haven't had a chance to come back to that PR.
