I have a magic number for a file format that ends up being "BT\0\0" in string form, but the current definition of the macro doesn't handle escaped characters. Any possibility this could be supported? I realize that this probably begs the question on how many escaped characters should be supported, but I would think that potentially at least the ASCII centric ones might be a safe bet.
